The Thirteen Doctor

Doctor Who was created for the BBC by Sidney Newman, C.E. Webber and Donald Wilson.

It was first broadcast in 1963, with the lead character being played by William Hartnell.

As of writing this fourteen actors have headlined the series as the Doctor, the latest being Ncuti Gatwa.

In 2017 Jodie Whittaker became the first woman cast in the lead role, as the Thirteenth Doctor.
