When I was a kid we were promised that by the Twenty First century there would, amongst other things, be flying cars.
While a number of companies are developing vehicles only few have developed full-sized prototypes capable of free flight. This means that for the foreseeable future the only place we are likely to see flying cars is in Science Fiction.
