Flying Saucer X-2

Marvin the Martian was created by Chuck Jones and made his debut in the 1948 cartoon Haredevil Hare.
Marvin wasn’t named in the early cartoons, in 1952’s The Hasty Hare he was called - Commander Flying Saucer X-2.
In early merchandise and a live stage show he was known as Antwerp.
It wasn’t until 1979 that Warner Bros. Settled on a permanent name, calling him him Marvin in The Bugs Bunny-Road Runner Movie .

This illustration was developed from a pen and ink sketch that I originally drew for the Monsters Go challenge over on Instagram.
I have decided to sell the design as T-shirt on my Zazzle store, there should be more than enough time to order it before for Halloween.
