Korky has had many different appearances in his 69 year history (that's 483 in cat years). Dave was asked to design a clean modern look for him while retaining a classic feel.
The alien in this strip was designed by Dave for some of his earliest work on Korky, and, like many of the supporting cast Dave introduced, made semi-regular appearances throughout his time on the strip.
